Image Fade

I need some help with a picture, i wanna know how i can fade-out a picture with CS6 or Sony Vegas

(or any other usefull program which is easy to use)

I got 2 pictures, the one on the left is the original one, and the second one is the one i want to edit to.

lower the opacity of the original picture and you're done.
I know this can be easily done with gimp, I don't use ps but that can be done too.
I think this can actually be edited with sony vegas too, just lower the opacity of the clip it's easy asf.

Alright so i gotta take care of that which is called '' opacity '' right?

yeah, you gotta lower the opacity[well fuck i think that's how it's called] of that layer [which is the original pic]
